MOI GIRLS VOKOLI HIGH SCHOOL VOKOLI WATER PROJECT

This is a girl’s boarding school in Western part of Kenya established by the government in the post-colonial period. It currently enrolls 200 students a year and has a total number of approximately 820 girls. With this number of students some of the schools resources like the water supply are over stretched.

Identifying this problem one of our members who coincidentally was a parent of one of the students there at that moment proposed a project that will help the girls get access to clean water supply. After thorough review of the project BUA funded the project and a water tower tank was installed also a borehole dug.(borehole done -water supply system still needs another water tank and a better, more efficient pump either solar or centrifugal pump).

This project is still serving the school and has enabled more adequate water supply to reach the students of this school from 2005 up to date.
