Name and Location

 

• Cognisant of the myriad development problems facing Africa and desirous to provide internal and external solutions to such problems, the Founder and Co-founders decided to establish a Canopy Organization known as “Canopies, Foundations, Pillars, Associates, Donors and Other Organizations for "Building Africa” at Continental, Afri-regional, Sub-regional, Country and institutional levels to cover, shelter, co-ordinate or network Pillar Organizations, Centres, Associates, Agencies, Credit funds, Co-operation partners, Companies, Investments, Donations, Institutions, Foundations, Strategies, Programmes, Projects and Activities for Building Africa.

 

• This Continental Non-governmental Canopy Organization or Afri-canopy to be known for short, as Building Africa shall be non-political, non-religious and non-profit making.Building Africa Canopy or Supreme Governing Council Office shall be in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.Building Africa Executive Office or Afri-secretariat shall be in Nairobi, Kenya until such time when it shall be decided otherwise by the Building Africa Supreme Governing Council Office in consultation with Building Africa Executive Office

 

• When necessary and convenient, Building Africa and Pillar Canopies at Continental and Country levels shall establish Afri-regional, Sub-regional, Institutional and International Programmes, Agencies or Service Institutions in consultation with respective level Build Africa and Country Offices.Building Africa Country Offices and Country Pillar Canopies shall be established in the capitals of the various African countries as decided upon by the Building Africa Supreme Governing Council Office in consultation with Build Africa Executive Office.

 

• Building Africa Offices shall establish programmes, Committees, service institutions, alliances and cooperation strategies for building Africa at Afri-region, Sub-region and International levels in consultation with the Building Africa Supreme Governing Council, BUA Executive Office and BUA country Offices.Building Africa Country Offices shall establish national Offices, Kolianas, Foundations, Centres, Clubs and other Organizations chiefly for economic development, training and poverty alleviation at zonal, provincial, district, ward, village and other grassroots’ community levels.
